Who we are
Founded in 2015, WaterScope is a "Spin-in" start-up from the University of Cambridge. Our founding team is comprised of biologists, physicists, material scientists and engineers who helped develop, design and iterate the WaterScope system. Together, we have raised over $500,000 in non-dilutive funding to support our goal. This has enabled us to employ full time staff members and expand our team to include product designers, software engineers, communications and partnership personnel.
Our goal
Our goal is to provide safe drinking water to everyone. Since our conception in 2015, we have designed and developed our system specifically for end-users. Our test maintains scientific integrity whilst being low-cost, simple and effective.
We believe in a bottom-up approach, encouraging communities in low and middle income countries to test their water autonomously, allowing for education, job creation, inclusive participation and community development.
Our prototype design is now complete and we are presently seeking implementation partners, funding for further development and opportunities to scale.
